Anders Moseholm: Fenestrations

  • Craighead Green Gallery 167 Parkhouse Street Dallas United States (map)

We are pleased to present Fenestrations, a solo exhibition of new paintings by Danish artist Anders Moseholm. Working within a restrained palette of blacks, whites, and muted grays, Moseholm transforms urban landscapes into hazy, impressionistic visions that hover between memory and observation.

Architectural forms dissolve into blurred surfaces, stripping familiar places of their certainty. The city no longer functions as a recognizable destination but as a psychological landscape that feels simultaneously inhabited and abandoned, intimate and distant.

Presented concurrently with Out of Context, a solo exhibition of photographs by American artist Thom Jackson, Fenestrations forms part of the gallery's larger presentation, The Art of Being Out of Place. Together, the exhibitions explore displacement from complementary perspectives. Moseholm locates it within the built environment, while Jackson explores it through the individual. One asks what happens when the world itself no longer feels familiar; the other asks what it means to feel out of place in the world. Rather than presenting painting and photography as separate disciplines, the exhibitions invite viewers to consider how images shape our understanding of belonging, memory, and perception.
