MALLMANN, KRAWCZYK, STEWART

  • Craighead Green Gallery 1011 Dragon Street Dallas, TX, 75207 Vereinigte Staaten (map)

Jon Krawczyk’s sculpture explores the human condition through the transformation of industrial materials into biomorphic form. Working primarily in steel and bronze, he creates large-scale works that evoke natural forces while maintaining a strong physical presence. The sculptures balance weight and movement, suggesting growth, tension, and the quiet power found within organic structures.

Arturo Mallmann’s recent paintings explore the relationship between loneliness and solitude—two states that appear similar but lead in very different directions. Loneliness confines us, separating us from the world, while solitude expands our sense of belonging to the space around us. His figures stand suspended within monumental environments, searching for integration rather than escape. Light becomes a central element in this transformation, existing not as natural illumination but as a presence created through the act of painting itself

Chris Stewart’s work explores the shifting relationship between memory and environment. Moving between abstraction and suggestion, the paintings draw from fragments of atmosphere, place, and lived experience. Layers of gesture and color build and recede across the surface, reflecting how memory surfaces, dissolves, and returns over time. Moments of tension and calm coexist, while sculptural interventions cut into the painted field, revealing structures beneath and suggesting cycles of loss, renewal, and transformation.
