Craighead Green Gallery invites you to a special conversation with Patty Rejes de Fajardo, representative of the Honduran women artisans whose work is featured in Stitching Connections. As a leader and advocate within Honduras Threads, Patty will speak about the profound impact this ongoing collaboration has had on the lives of the women who create these embroidered works—artists, mothers, and community members whose creativity and skill bring the project to life.

In this talk, Patty will share stories of transformation that extend beyond the artwork itself. Through Stitching Connections, participating women have gained new opportunities for artistic expression, sustainable income, and collective empowerment. The collaboration with Texas artists Carolyn Brown, Sue Benner, and Pamela Nelson has fostered cross-cultural dialogue and mutual learning, creating an exchange built on respect, creativity, and shared purpose.
