TEXTiles
The exhibition, TEXTiles, has sources from several times in my life.
As a college student, I studied graphic design and examined type faces
and layout. The repetition of pattern in handmade textiles has long been
a reference in my work. Earlier work explored board games and word games.
I live near the Farmers’ Market and the hand lettered signs there or anywhere
always intrigue.
Finally, with texting and emailing part of daily life, I enjoy the accidental words
in autospell and in mistakes in my fingers.
The grid installation of the sequin mosaics in Light Perpetual become a wall of tiles, with TEXTure.
